The Withering Rose Poem by Aarzoo Mehek

The Withering Rose

Rating: 4.9

The withering rose
Showcases the
Intensity of pain
It has suffered
At the hands of
It's tormentor
The dripping candle
Is the sole witness
Of a troubled night

Excellent metaphor. The ‘dripping' alone can tell us the story of the troubled night, the ‘withered rose' has gone through, has endured….painful to read! But that is what makes a poem "sublime poetry". Top score. MyFavouritePoems..
