How will we know
When you depart?
Who will tell those on this site
Who've loved you so,
And shared your heart?
The favourite poet of many,
You've mentored and encouraged us.
You welcomed us when we were new,
When stats, we didn't have any.
We say, 'Don't go', but know you must.
The site will never be the same
And we'll always remember you
Your goodness is your legacy,
Your poems will guarantee your fame.
Close to your equal, there are few.
Please never doubt how loved you are,
Or think that we will just forget.
When comes the day you say 'farewell'
Above, there'll be a brand-new star
And may you leave without regret.
If Barry is bed-ridden, I still pray for his recovery... He is truly a good poet as mirrored in his poems👍👍😊
Thank you, Bernard. Because of the length of time you and Barry have been on this site, and the sheer volume of poetry you have both written, I'm certain you two view each other as contemporaries. Thank you for praying for him, Cancer is an ugly, ugly disease and the prayer is needed.

Thanks, Becca. GASP! I thought that everyone must know Barry! He is one of the top poets on this site, and so many here have him listed as their poet liked!

Thank you, Kumar. Your words mean a lot. I am fighting back tears. I hope that I am not too late, and that he will be able to read this. How can the world go on as it always does, when Barry is suffering?

We are sorry to lose Barry Middleton and your poem explains why. Very impressive writing and praise without being excessive.
Thank you, Michael. We're not certain that we've lost him yet- - He could be weak and bedridden. In any case, he hasn't been posting any poetry for the past several days. This is the time to surround him with love & appreciation, before he definitely goes. Thanks again for your comment.
