There is nothing more horrible
For a poet and poetry lover
Than to be reading a poem
And have this spiritual moment
Grossly interrupted by
A bellowing Commercial Ad,
Screaming away,
As if madness had struck,
Like an inconsiderate
Cad!
How easy it is
In this heartless,
Materialistic and
Pathetic society
That now exists,
To destroy the few shreds
Of beauty and spirituality
With a more than toxic mix.
It isn't just a PH problem. It is the whole western(and eastern) world's problem. Well written
(E) thus you know that this site is getting richer and richer, since the poets cannot turn off the ads anymore, of course, this is of my concern, dear Poetess. Aptly worded poem,5 Stars full Most highest appreciated by me, dear Poetess.
(D) then the ads will start and at that moment earning money has started, in the old homepage, we can turn off the ads, but in the new homepage the ads still last till it is over,
I concur with Kim Barney. I keep my computer and celfone on mute. A very straightforward write. So rightly said.
Majority of us if not all could relate to this incisive poem. We are in the same boat, my friend.I just wish P.H.. can lessen the number of advertisements put in a poem.
Thank you All for your generous support. Bright notes of what should and should not be.
Nothing comes for free, we pay our price in some or the other way. I agree it disturbs yet we all enjoy ignoring what not required. Nice observation.5***

Sandra, when I am on Poem Hunter, and even most of the time when I am not, I keep my computer on mute, so I never hear any blasting (or blasted) ads! You have eloquently stated the truth.
