Poem Hunter has finally gone too far.

On 31 January 2015 I posted a poem called 'Poetry Heaven'.

It included a picture of the Cristo Redentor statue at Rio de Janeiro.

On 24 March 2015, the poem was selected as Member Poem of the Day, the first of 13 (so far) of my poems to be selected.

Some of the people who commented said how much they liked that picture of the Christ the Redeemer statue.

Just a couple of days ago I discovered that Poem Hunter has REMOVED that picture and replaced it with a graphic of its own choosing!

They had no right to do that. I could remove their graphic and put the original picture back, but who's to say they wouldn't just do it again?

I will leave their graphic there for now for other people to see, and invite Poem Hunter to put my picture back where it belongs. In case for some reason they can't find it, I will attach it to this rant. (Not a poem, for sure.)

IF Poem Hunter will do the right thing and put my original picture back where it belongs, I will come back and continue posting here. If not, I will resume using my long-neglected account at All Poetry.

I still can't believe that Poem Hunter would do such a thing. Yes, Bri Edwards, I know that Poem Hunter is still free, but remember the old saying: You get what you pay for.

Mentioning your name above saved you reminding us that PH is still free...

'You get what you pay for'.....sometimes. I have not paid anything for years to use PH, and although there have been some disappointments for many of us here, we have received MUCH at no monetary cost to us. Amen. ;)

Wes Vogler now PAYS to be a premium member of All Poetry rather than continue here for free. He has to be a premium member there to be able to post the cartoons about Oogie the caveman. I will not pay to be a premium member there. I will just post all my poems without pictures.

Great poem. Great picture. Great faith. If political correctness was the reason for removing the picture, then shame on them. Regardless, it's back! And I'm very happy to see its return. Thank You, Kim for speaking up. And Thank You, Poem Hunter for speedily resolving this issue!

Richard, Poem Hunter DID NOT 'speedily resolve the issue'. I finally gave up on them and replaced the picture myself. Thank you for commenting.
