Two Chipmunks
Two chipmunks running through the leaves
there on the forest floor - -
they had an energy and zest
that I'd not seen before.
The one would chase the other, then
the other chased the one.
I really wanted to join in;
it looked like so much fun!
But I'm too big and cumbersome;
they wouldn't let me play,
and if they did, as sure as not,
they'd catch me right away!
