I heard yr voice
In the inner ear
Knowing of yr death
By my eyes
And again, my ears are
Tricking me
Stopping my heart
In its tracks

Thanks for the poet's note, LeeAnn. I wondered who Richard Howard was. One of my favorite singers, C. W. McCall, just passed away at 93.
