Let me have yr name written on the moon
As it glows through the night
Gazing at the stars, I see them forming a halo around yr face
Making my heart rise further into the Milky Way
We have been together a long time
Though, I thought it wouldn't last
I was wrong and it has
Maybe, today or tomorrow, you'll be gone
In the heavens, where you belong
I'll carry a lock of yr hair against my heart
Though, broken, it will mend
With the memories of the love you gave
Yr innocence will grace my soul for eternity
I wholeheartedly agree with Sandra, such a loving tender poem and may Cooper be spoilt rotten today with treats and walks.
