This mark of indelible ink on my finger
Signals the vibrancy of our democracy
Heralds our faith in the country's freedom
In Republic of India and its Constitution
Wherein ‘We The People….' have resolved
To define our rights and duties as a citizen
Including our right to choose our Federal
And State governments from time to time
Our Parliamentarians and State level MLAs
Very interesting poem in regards to democracy and freedom in your country.
My pleasure! It is my duty to encourage and appreciate others for their good work.
the vibrancy of our democracy Heralds our faith in the country's freedom In Republic of India and its Constitution......Liked the expression but...
Sir, I can just quote one line, '... to define our rights and duties as citizens'....I can't say much! An insightful little piece...top score.
Indian constitution is partly flexible and party rigid. The concept of democracy can't always be perfectly realised....a thoughtful write.
Great words. My Poem 'Water, Water' was the poem of the day 19 April

India is the largest democratic country in the world today. The freedom to caste their vote and choose their leader is every man's right. We the people, by the people and for the people! We are totally responsible for our growth and progress. For the people's power a full vote here too.
You have so beautifully explained the way democracy works in this country in this country and elsewhere in the world. Every individual has a role to create a blueprint for future. Thanks for sharing your views, Geeta ji.
