Where’s Your Heart - Poem by Dave Davidson

where’s your heart
when love’s in reach
when parrots speak soft lies
when doves on the beach
are peace in disguise

where’s your heart
when love’s so near
when sand shifts into glass
when love asks crystal clear
how long fears will last

where’s your heart
when love’s far away
when the shore leaves no tide
when there’s no dock on the bay
or tears left to cry inside

where’s your heart right now
this moment this breath
right now
