Ever thought of winning the heart
By putting a dagger on the chest?
- Should be a unique experiment
Moulded in medieval adventurism
Could it be a win-win situation
On either side of the divide ever?
A satire at its best. I liked the very concept of winning hearts, dragger dipped in honey and with all sweet and melodious talks inserted like giving anesthesia to patient. The end result will be " Left alone" to live. Superb poem Rajnish ji. A thought provoking poem.
I have missed you on PH for such a long time, Asim ji. Thanks for being on this page with a fine review and kind words of appreciation.

Thanks for your kind and appreciative words. 'It provides a new sense' yes, I meant it to carry some covert message.
No hearts ever are won by a dagger, nor yet even by a beggar, it happens when both the hearts eager but you need a good enough jeegar (Hindi) ! ! !
Sweet and very sensible one. This has been the common resolve of the lovers the world over. However, there are some who fiddle with the opposite. Thanks, Dear Aniruddha ji.

Hearts and dagger that takes you back into the Medieval era where it is either victory through heroism or else it is a sacrifice or death. But love is always the winner for the tender hearts in love......An excellent 6 liner verse that tells an old story with tremendous new vitality........Thank you Rajnish ji.....10
I sincerely thank you for a fine review of the poem. Though, I have taken cues from the past, the drama is being enacted today in our very own 'Firdaus' on Earth. Thank you so much, Geeta ji.
