You go, my love...you go...
And I will carry on waiting for you,
As I always do:
Looking for your face
In every season, and passage of time;
In sunrise—your smile;
In every sunset—the impalpable kiss:
My sea, thirsty for your sunbeam lips;
I will meet you in the moonlight,
In nights with starry skies:
You go, my love...you go...
And I will carry on without you,
Without my heart,
For it belongs to you:
You go, my love...you go...
Such a beautiful send off for the one you hold dear in your heart. I will save this to my list of favorites, as it speaks of emotions we all have known. In the sweet sadness of letting go, love is kept forever. PEACE
Your beautiful poem has touched me - it was an immense pleasure to read it, not once but many more times. None can find sweeter words to let one's love go, as you have. 'My sea, thirsty of your sunbeam lips; ' - An immaculate imagery of a lover's lips.. 'You go my love...you go... ' - Very touching emotion! You get 10/10 from me.
YOU GO MY LOVE, , , YOU GO is repeated three times and it creates a desolate mood. The speaker has given up on any real rapport or lasting affection - fidelity in a word - from THAT person. But then she turns to her imagination to create something resembling a love experience. Still the refrain keeps coming back as if to prove YOU'RE NOT FREE OF THESE EMOTIONS. There is no shrillness in this poem, no desperate actions are described. But the speaker's life reminds me of Thoreau's line that people ARE LIVING LIVES OF QUIET DESPERATION. The poem has no solution to offer.
I can hear a country, jazz or blues song here...fabulous.....
The profoundness of love is marvellously captured in the words and phrases that make this beautiful poem.
Wonderful poem on love: Loved it, loved it 10++++++++++ In every sunset—the impalpable kiss: My sea, thirsty of your sunbeam lips; I will meet you in the moonlight, In nights with starry skies: You go, my love...you go...
I will meet you in the moonlight, In nights with starry skies....I love the powerful romantic expression! Pleasure reading it again!
You have selected one of the most difficult forms of poetry! This little ballad is a farewell to love with deep intensity....the spirit of love is differently expressed (may be one sided?) ....Appreciated the poem!
A charming poem with a good structural shape to boot. Keep on writing for you have a refined aesthetic sense and taste.
