Had honey-glazed ham for breakfast
this morning, with scrambled eggs
and scrambled tater-tots, cinnamon
raisin whole wheat toast with butter.
Scrambled tater-tots? My wife wanted
hash browns but couldn't find any
in the freezer, so she improvised.
Best hash browns I've ever had.
As I ate and sipped my orange juice,
I though about how blessed I was.
How many people in the world
don't know where to get their next meal?
How many people have no home,
not enough clothing to keep them warm,
and no place to sleep tonight?
Later today we will go to our son's house
and enjoy the company of our grandchildren.
How many people have no one
to be with, no one to love them?
There are many presents under my tree,
but it's after noon
and I haven't opened any yet.
There is really nothing
that I want or need.
Whoever you are
and wherever you are,
my wish for you
is that your stomach and your heart
may be full.
May you have warm clothing,
a warm shelter and warm friends
and people that love you.
Whether or not
you believe in Christ,
have an enjoyable Christmas day!
An absolutely beautiful rendition, very powerfully and movingly brought forth. Such an exquisite piece to commemorate the Christmas Day. Remain enriched.
