Caught in a time between worlds
a time traveling experiment gone wrong
I'm fighting to get back to the year
I don't know when
Shards of light shooting like glass
millions of pieces arcing
like a kaleidoscope of colours
as the years roll back
Barking dogs
howling at the wolves
Howling wolves
barking at the dogs
Screaming voices
dying noises
trapped with no way back
A time travel experiment gone wrong
Well expressed thoughts and feelings. Thanks for sharing Dave.
An interesting write of a time travellers plight that of getting back before last light? .......well written Dave
Ohhh, I like this, very much! Love the metaphor with the wolves, dogs... related, yet so different, wild-domestication, out of control... brilliant Dave, I love this poem! ! !
What a coincidence...only the other day I was watching, The Time Traveler's Wife (2009) film: your poem resonates perfectly with it!
Fascinating poem. Full of vivid imagery. Liked it a lot!

Time can push forward us in the future but it can't pull back in the past. Limitations are for time, too.
