Perhaps, it is difficult to imagine
A world class scientist like Albert Einstein,
Sitting in a Patent office and
Working as a patent clerk.
O! But that was the actual truth!
Funnily, at times, facts are fancier than fiction!
The beauty of how Albert Einstein
Transformed the dull, dreary, humdrum,
Unexciting and monotonous Patent office
Into an active, eventful place of learning
Is, indeed, worth comprehending!
Ah! The power of man to change the environment!
In the beginning, Albert Einstein
Found the patent office and work,
Totally boring!
Examining patents was the last thing
He ever wanted to do.
But strangely enough, the job suited him perfectly.
The staff and officers of the patent office,
Gradually began to like the presence of Einstein amidst them.
He critically examined every gadget that entered the office,
Examined and analysed the gadget meticulously,
Before giving a final judgement.
Einstein was sharp, brilliant and completed his work swiftly.
Einstein utilised the time he had in the office,
To study physics,
To think and plan new ideas,
To research and develop new theories,
To discover new concepts in science!
Where there is will and desire, there always is, a way and solution!

Where there is a will there is a way. This cannot be explained in a better way than how Einstein transformed his routine at the patents office as a place of study and learning. Great poem. Thanks for sharing, Geeta Ma'am.
