In my usually-monthly 'showcases' over the years, I've hoped to make some readers laugh, and/or bring to some a few tears.
I've been pretty 'PICKY', picking poems I felt merited more widespread exposure, hoping to perhaps expand some poets' 'careers'.
Some poems I've not used because I thought they contained 'too many errors', or would be 'too difficult to for readers to 'follow'.
I thought some works were not even poems, being more prosaic than poetic; I hope my words aren't obtuse, or 'hard to swallow'.
Now, for a change, I 'throw open' an opportunity to ALL MEMBERS of P-H, regardless of my prior methods of choosing 'your' poems to use.
With very few exceptions, PERHAPS based on length or politeness [ I'll decide ], I plan to use most any poem offered to me; please don't abuse (me) .
The subject matter is up to you. A poem can be old or new as long as I can find it on P-H. It can be most any style, and even NOT in English.....I think,
though, if not written in English, I'll take no responsibility for what it 'says', including whether or not it's a 'good' poem or whether or not it does 'STINK'!
p.s.
But, WAIT! To use 'your' poem I must be able to find it on P-H and without TOO MUCH searching by me! So, send an ACCURATE title as it's listed on P-H, and from there we will see (if I can find it, and copy and paste it into a showcase, which is NOT always easy! ! !)

It's April 30th and I AM NO LONGER DARING ANYONE TO OFFER ME POEMS FOR AN UPCOMING SHOWCASE. The process takes more time and energy than I wish to dispel? on the project I have four poems I will endeavor to include 'shortly' in a showcase. bri
'Borda da Mata. municipality in Minas Gerais, Brazil.' Any relation to you, Belle? It's got a different spelling.
Dear Bri, please check the grammar involved in 'offer a poem FOR me to share with others'
In this poem's title I find nothing grammatically incorrect/wrong with 'offer a poem for me to share with others'. I could alter it a bit, but needn't. bri ;)
I have been out of reading writing circle of PH for sometime but for occasional visits. Hopefully I can do better now. But to have tears at Bri's site….never! I appreciate very much his humor and fun writing the poems, and also creating the showcase.
As I replied to Geeta M.: 'Some, very few, of mine have brought ME a few tears, and THAT I like. ;) bri One is/was 'Boy In An Envelope'. And maybe the one about the 'moron', Quentin. '
Continue your good work. We all love your humour. Best wishes TT..... : ) +100

Hi Bri, Nice to see this new method of selecting poems. I am sure many poets will offer their poems.
