Church Of God! Poem by Abossey Allotey

From D.A. Allotey – a labourer in the Lord in this age..
To the church of God who read on this page..
Greetings from Abba – hope you all fine.
This I want to tell you - that ye may shine;
And to know - that the Kingdom is not for food or wine..

Church of God!

Please open your spirit and hear;
Do nothing in strife or in fear;
For the Spirit of the father is here.
God is doing something anew;
I pray it doesn’t get only to the very few.
Everything is available in this new move.
He’s calling on all – the old and the youth
To stand for him – this gospel to proclaim
Even when the enemy means you to maim;
And to the whole world – he wants you to shame.
Never mind – you – he cannot tame.
Speak to the dead and heal the lame.
Yahweh has in store for you a glorious fame..
Go in God’s power – snatch the lost,
For this our gospel must reach them at all cost.
Anything that is untrue you must oust..

Tell those unbelievers who are by you
That these things we say are true.
Speak to their hearts – for the time is due:
The night is falling;
Jesus is calling;
And the accuser too is warring;
This may be the last warning.

Church of God!

Greetings to all the saints in your hood,
Care for them – some even have no food.
Encourage them to always be in good mood.
Be there for them as much as you could;
Whatever you get give someone a piece;
Greet one another with a holy kiss.

Tell all the brethren never to fake
Neither in anything should they shake;
They are real those things which God spake..
Do not sleep – do not slumber – only be awake.
Let’s do this – many lives are at stake..

Stay strong in the spirit – you must not wane.
This know also – many see the gospel insane.
But trust me – you are on the right lane.
Be faithful that in all things you may gain
Be ye in comfort or in pain..
U'll hear from me as the spirit grants the occasion again.
Do not worry and do not wail:
Jesus knows you – you will never fail;
You'll never fall;
You will stand tall;
Bless you all.
