The virus pummels
In the great Metropolis
It is time to fly
Seek refuge to the country
Where nature gives us solace.

A situation, terribly sad and dangerous, not confronted before in our lifetime, so much anguish and pain. What to do is the great questions, which your poem so rightly asks. The answer is personal, I suppose each one of us has his own or none at all. But what is undeniable is what you bring forth about Nature, the great solace giver, indeed!
A concise and insightful verse with a message of hope as mankind continues to battle with COVID-19 pandemic. A beautiful work of art, Rose. Thanks for sharing and do remain enriched.
A nice poem on the burning topic.................................
Where nature gives us solace......beautiful.......thank u. anjandev roy.
The memory of this period terrifies me.The visuals shown on T.V showed thousands of migrant labourers walking in line holding minimum essentials and heading to their own villages. No water, no food as the hotels and foot stalls were shut down.
In the Pandemic Covid-19 lakhs of people perished. They did not have time to know what caused this dreaded disease and they had no other places to flee.
I always prefer country living but especially in these times!
