Sir Peabak Hath

Daydream - Poem by Sir Peabak Hath

All this time i was chasing a daydream,
Like a child cravin for an ice cream,
Thinking that it's an adventure,
All we do is for heart's pleasure,
Never knew that it was just an illusion,
Just some lie's from my deep compassion,
It was funny when i got to know,
How lousy my path is on which go,
I felt like i'm back at home now,
Felt peace within while taking a long bow,
The feeling was warmer than a coffee,
Sweeter than the sweetest of the toffee,
Closed my eyes for a sweet dream,
I was a kid waitin for his ice cream..

Suddenly i woke up from a bad dream,
There was no tofee or an ice cream,
Lost i was in between this commotion,
People didn't saw the feet of a toddler,
I was lost in this whirlpool of reality,
Searching for myself with true sincerity,
The heart was scared when finding noone,
All it wants to care for a someone,
Trying to strive in this hectic life,
Learning to fight n living it with a pride,
The kid has gone, slept for the time being,
Grown up has become who doesn't likes ice cream,
Still the kid lives deep within,
All it needs a soft prodding..

As he was busy with the living,
Didn't knew what he was doing,
Just when he thought giving it up,
Gentle hands held him from the slumber,
The warmth that was lost came back,
Lost light from eyes glowed again in the dark,
The kid inside got a small jerk,
Slowly he opened his eyes spark,
It was great to see the sunshine,
Sweet it taste even the brine,
Life was here never i saw it with my heart's eyes,
It was so great as the first sun rise,
But it was all good till you were here,
As you left me behind with a dropp of tear....

The kid was again stranded in nowhere,
Walking on he never ever even dare,
Hurt he was, stunned for some time,
Then with a smile he walked on with a chime,
Speaking nothing preparin for last good bye,
He was lost deep within in a blink of eye,
N i was here still searching for the sunshine,
She promised to stay never to leave my side,
Driven mad i was for a while,
Then i became calm n started with a smile,
It was a day dream i was chasin,
Nothing but a stupid dream,
The kid was lost just like the dream,
The kid who craved for an ice cream. :)
