Why must good people die?
I know they fly away to the sky
To a peaceful place
But why?
It is so painful
At first you feel like you lost part of your soul
Like part of you has also died
Makes you wonder if you spent enough time with them
Wish you got to know them better
Want them to come back if only for a day
Wow. This is the most beautiful poem. I felt just the same way when my great grandmother past away. A very heartfelt poem.
A really beautiful, full of life poem on death. Simple, innocent and spontaneous. Jessica's comment is the essence of this poem. It reflects shininess of your soul, Shiny............10/10. Best Wishes Naseer
i like this poem... its very good, its telling you that you need to spend more time with loved ones, and watch what you say because you never know when they will pass away
this is a good poem. simple yet powerful! ! it hurts at first, then you learn to live with it and find strength in the things they left behind. Perhaps it will make more sense if you read on of my poems titled ' you weren't there'. Good poem though! !

Yes, when we lose, we morn our loss. It is truly sad and tempts us to bear feelings for none, yet we still open ourselves up to people. It is inevitable that we lose our friends and ourselves.
That's so beautiful. It's sad and inevitable, but it makes me want to be so close to the ones I love.
Truth of life's agony...one of the best of yours.....voted 10...
Sad and beautiful poem, just remember it is a path which we all shall travel in time.

When people we dearly love pass on and leave us, it is very hard. Your poem touches on what we feel. Read my poem entitled 'Here'. I understand, I do. Deborah Cromer
