I feel us drifting apart.
The bond we once shared is weakening.
The close connection is fading.
Now, other things occupy my time and attention.
But, isn't this what you wanted?
A friend said I should write you off.
What a shame that you could not
Hold onto and keep love, where you found it.
Hearts need to be tended; Love needs to grow.
But you cut it short.
How sad for you, that life gives no guarantee
That you'll ever find love again.
I love the notes that you wrote, sums up that life will carry on and it will be his loss unfortunately. This poem touched my heart as it is very relatable. The way your wrote it was brilliant! 10!
Aqua, thank you for understanding, which I know you do. Like me, you do not throw out poem ratings like PEZ candy; we are both very conservative in assigning ratings unless we feel a poem is truly a cut above. That's why it means so much to me that you gave this a 10! Thanks to ya, gal! :)
Thank you so much, Kostas, for a comment whose shoes I hope to be worthy to fill! I'm truly grateful!
The bond shared of love when weakens this brings sadness and provokes thought. The feeling about close connection goes on fading. But there is trust and and there is hope. Separation is temporary and pain is temporary. Love needs to grow and we hope love will grow soon. Love strengthens life. A nice poem is excellently penned...10
Thank you so much, Kumarmani! We hope he 'wakes up' to what he let slip away!

I would like to translate this poem
like a bed of flowers it needs attention and care, and it will whiter and die if you're not there
Hearts, like gardens, need to be nurtured with TLC (tender loving care.) Neglect can be deadly. Hopefully, something will prevent the withering & painful death. Thank you, Louis, for your insightful comment. :)
