When sun rays meet
with falling rain
they create
a lovely band
of finest hues;
when dew drops greet
an infant bud,
then at once,
it smiles
and blooms;
but
nothing happens
when drops of tears
fall on heart,
no display
of Nature's laws
we find there,
no fruitful show
like a smiling flower,
gleaming rainbow,
and the like appear,
no harmony reflects
from the meeting
of our outer weather
with inner season
why is it so?
Amid the acacia-shrubs where my eyes were blinded with tears by the smart from the bursting pods of colocynth.Quotation from Imrul Quais-MU'ALLAQAT A great write hereby and i appreciate yours.
A great question to ask in the last line of a poem with a fresh outlook on an everyday occurrence. A wonderful write :)
I can definitely say, you rank amongst the great poets of the world gifted with gems of intelligence and vision. Keep writing.
Great imagination and very well presented. Indeed it is for those who understand the connection between outer weather and inner season! ! ! Brilliant job :)
this is quite nice leaving a question at the end. Smooth reading and the diction is impressive.
Among the many elements that create the contrasts of life. Thought provoking and well presented.
Tender feelings and emotions expressed in the finest poetic tradition of lightness, flow. Being emotive the words too flow freely like the unanswered tears... the central strategically placed 'but'....causes a heightened cathartic reversal and is the balance and focal point. It creates a powerful visual and narrative experience. A reading of the poem would be a great presentation and experience for others. Great job….! @ Veeraiyah Subbulakshmi-with due regards Parsimonious & economical: I wish the honorable poet could have been more generous and forthcoming by dilating on the perceived weakness in content or context.
