Aarey stands with its green splendour and Mumbai is buzzing with hustle and bustle. To fulfill the needs of a metropolitan city we should be careful about growth of trees and natural cleanliness. Birds should chirp and we should get fresh oxygen. We hope people will take care of more trees in the city. This is a thought provoking poem as well as a thoughtful poem too. hi, geeta! as you likely know, this which is taking place in your home city (yes?) is being repeated all over the world as people move from countryside to metropolis for work, for opportunity. i relate to what you write here because i so appreciate my neighborhood with all its parks, open space, and mature trees which draws all kinds of birds for us to enjoy (and wildlife like skunks, mice, raccoons, and the occasional coyote we'd rather not have to deal with) . -glen

What the State Government proposes is the biggest blasphemy of the millennium. We should never allow this to happen. Aarey is the very lungs of Mumbai city. Let us not allow them to pick even a leaf from there. What Maharashtra Government proposes is what was done in Kerala by Government after Government. And we have seen the results...
