Frozen Existence Poem by Mihaela Pirjol

Frozen Existence

Rating: 4.6

After Love,
the Heart,
went sinking back—
in hibernation;
and with a glacial heart,
hardly glistening in insufficient love,
I have become indifferent to hope;
and Life,
has lost its lustre—
a dusted, antique object.
Fearful of evoking emotions,
I glance a passing eye,
pretending indifference,
as I immerse deeper—and deeper,
into this comfortable apathy—
kitsch imitation of life,
related to the parade of death!
Only that I breathe…
but feel—nothing.
Whilst counting the seasons
of my passed years,
I find myself questioning:
How long has it been since
I have died? —a perpetual death—
leading to death.
The irony of being alive
in a life, which has died

with your love…

Heart sinks back in hibernation amazingly after love. But love beats with heart in every expression of word in this neatly drafted poem. A perpetual death—leading to death gives us amazing message to know truth. This poem is wonderful...10

how long has it been since I have died? —a perpetual death— leading to death. The irony of being alive in a life, which has died with your love… - - - - When love is away and one feels life is not worth living without love, it is only a frozen existence.A very powerful and poetic expression of your melancholic heart, thanks for sharing.

Those last three words, detached from the rest of the poem, could almost be the beginning of a new poem. I feel the energy of creativity surging in this poem, not at all a comfortable apathy. I suppose the last few lines mean: My life died when your love died. Which makes yoir poem a brave elegy of something lost but I imagine Venus whi cares fir you

A heart crying out to get relief from pain. The hurt and disappointment of love and life brought out so beautifully. So good to read you again after a long time. Thanks for sharing.
