Generation Gap Poem by Rajnish Manga

Generation Gap

Rating: 5.0

जो रोज़ मुझसे कहानियां सुन कर सोया करते थे
अब उन बच्चों को मेरा बोलना अच्छा नहीं लगता
(writer unknown)

Those who, as kids, never went to bed
before listening a story from me at night
Have no desire to listen to what I say now.

Maybe generation changed, but without the previous one who will give us guides? So i may say we still listening but every generation prefers different way of delivery. Perhaps, this is something beautiful about life, it evolves and changes make it more artistry to understand how we talk with different human across the distance of years and places.

It is a sad comment about human nature, how children change when they grow up. It must be difficult to be a parent at times.

A fabulous two liner poem that expresses a lot. The big generation gap and the attitude of the young towards the old. An insightful poem with a deep impact....Thanks Rajnish ji..........10

The stark contrast in the attitude of children in their young days and when they are grown is so concisely and beautifully brought out in these three liner poem! The generation gap is getting wider each day and it is distressing to see that parents are seen as a liability by many children. A sure 10

Generation gap is understandable, what is not is: how the thickness of blood suddenly thins! These situations are experienced at close quarters by many.

Quite right. We don't have to go very far to witness this kind of a situation which has become common-place these days..The growth of old-age homes (moderate to 5 -star) is a proof.
