Given It Your Best - Poem by Lyn Paul

I can't Lie
I can't pretend
No more socialising
I don't want to be your friend
You are so nice one day, as bright as sunshine
Then the next time I see you; Your so out of line
Ignorance is not needed. Never! At all.
You think you may gain Yet your hiding behind some wall.
Some so fragile think it is okay
They think They have the problem and should change their way
Yet deep down inside we know what is real
This insecure person is trying to hide the way they really feel
They are not comfortable in their own skin
And try to make you feel like you will never win
So enjoy being you and do not fear
You've given it your best shot. Do not shed a tear

Never understood people need to trample on others to feel better. Humans are funny. I struggle with confidence big time but I am searching for the voice within to give my confidence a wee boost; -) . (Like minds baby) x x (Report) Reply

Gauging people's moods is a very inexact science, sometimes they're just better left alone. (Report) Reply

Those who are not comfortable with themselves will always induce negativity in others. Better avoid such people! ! A great write! ! (Report) Reply

we can't judge a person very easily, because sometimes it takes a life time to understand someone who is very close to us. someone who speaks the truth is more lovable and admirable to me than the one who simply talks in front of our faces and backbite about us, when an opportunity occurs. a friend is always a friend to me, even they hurt me once in a while! Good poem on interaction! (Report) Reply

Kindness is free...but becomes unfair when someone leans too hard on your peace of mind. Kick 'em to the kerb I say lol. Great write as always Lyn xxx (Report) Reply

Insecure people sometimes can `t cope and put up a front at the expense of others,

A great poem, I love your parting shot.
