Sameer Ahmed

If I Cry........

If I cry
Don't stop me
Let the rain of tears fall on ground
And moisten the soil
For I like its silty fragrance.

If I cry
Don't look at me
For I will wipe off
The pearl like droplets
And become insomniac.

If I cry
Don't befuddle me
For it will disrupt
The streamline flow
Of my contemplations.

If I cry
Don't pat my sodden cheeks
For it will not help me
Removing the clouds of self-pity
From my inner vibe.

If I cry
Don't halt me
Let the watermark form on the floor
For it will guide me
To the upcomings.

If I stop
And recoup myself
Don't interrupt me
Let a new thought be born
For the sake of my teardrops.

How brave to allow yourself to cry in front of others. I'm afraid it's something I can't do. That being said, should you go through it all alone? - Even if you feel it does make you stronger in the end? Lovely written.

if i would have been ur 4end i would never have let u cry n if i see any of my friend crying i don't fink so any one of them can stop me from stopping them from crying!
crying doesn't fix up things but courage does!

A very heart touching and well written poem!
keep it up but keep smiling! ; -)

Wow! I absolutly love the imagery in this poem! It gives the reader a strength and independence to overcome the sadness and let it out. A very strong message that says stand on your own feet and be strong. I love it!
