Let me keep floating
Like a leaf in a stream
Let me sleep after my work
And breathe smooth and dream
Let me move up and down
Through recesses and plains
Give me wind and a shed to tarry
I will see my town, its streets and lanes
I will go downstream
Till the end and take rest
The sun will eat away my body
Before it slips down and get lost in the west
To welcome death, the inevitable, needs a lot of mental preparedness. Nice one, Anilji
Loved the concept of up and down swing reflected in this wonderful poem. Many poets write good poems but fail to put a catchy title...loved the poem in terms of its title, structure, flow, lovely imagination in creative parlance, and the essence of this magnificent poem in its totality....excellent!
Dr Swain's very positive constructive criticism says it all...does a great service to a magnificent poem. Excellent work, Poet Panda!
You poems are so touching and emotional, dear Poet. Loved it. Top marks + to my favourite
