Death can come in the form of a limerick. Life gets funny.

This is wonderful. Death comes like a knock in the middle of the night. You have done a really great job here.10

I just wonder if Tom had his headphone on then would he have heard the knock..Loved it. Interesting write.

Am I missing a mystery in the last line? Do you mean to say brave Tom really passed away. Perhaps, physically abducted by death? Well rhymed as a limerick should be. (10)
