he was a chooser
wanted a wife like mother
he could not find one
chose to go around
his parents to win a FRUIT
claimed they were his world
chose to ride on mouse
surprising choice for his size
a reason he had
HE TAKES....
a ride on the mouse
to every nook and corner
without being seen
[FRUIT..IT WAS A GNANA PALAM...A FRUIT OF WISDOM
SAINT NARADAR BROUGHT TO LORD SHIVA'S ABODE
THE FATHER MOTHER AND TWO BROTHERS THERE
LORD SHIVA, PARVATHI, VINAYAKA AND MURUGAN
THE FRUIT SHOULD NOT BE SHARED...NARADAR SAID
THE FATHER AND MOTHER DECIDED TO GIVE IT TO THE SONS..BUT THEY WERE TWO
TO WIN THE FRUIT..THEY HAD A CONTEST...WHO EVER WENT AROUND
THE WORLD AND RETURNED FIRST GETS THE FRUIT...LORD MURUGA LEFT IN HIS PEACOCK
....VINAYAKAR ASKED NARADAR
WHETHER PARENTS AND THE WORLD IS ONE.
..NARADAR ACCEPTED THAT ONE
VINAYAKAR TOOK A ROUND AROUND HIS PARENTS
TO GET THE FRUIT.......]
a ride on the mouse to every nook and corner without being seen.. a lord of prosperity and peace.... always praised inevery home..it is beautiful write and deserves well earned.....10
In few words you could tell this story Lakshi! Amazing composition. 'thath purushaya vidmahe Vakrathundaya dheemahi Thannoo Danthi prachodayathu' Let Lord Ganesh shower his blessings on you.
The reason to go around his parents is actually different. It was to have the fruit that the bet was conducted. As Indians we already know about the theme. Gods do not require the help of animals and creatures to reach every nook and corner of the universe. It has a different symbolic representation. The main idea behind our gods choosing birds, animals and creatures as their vehicles is to seek our empathy and love towards these creatures. If Ganesh did not use the rat as his vehicle, how many more rats would have been killed? If Lord Vishnu did not use the serpant as his bed, how many more snakes would have been killed? This is the basic idea. Special symbolism can be found out according to one's philsophy and interpretation but definitely gods never require their assistance to reach every nook and corner of the world.
