Belated Birthday wishes LeeAnn, an absolute classic of a poem we all can relate to. It flows beautifully and slowly as we csn feel the time slowly dripping by. I can relate to Cooper as Clara was the same. Bravo! !
Your Coke must be super-carbonated to make so much noise! What till you're MY AGE. Then try to forget how old you are. Well maybe by then you'll have NO TROUBLE forgetting. bri : )
Loved your poem that is so true to life........10 for sure dear poetess LeeAnn
An interesting poem that is a mixture of emotions, a move into the middle age with diet coke, cake, sleeping and waking and the responsibility of taking the dog to pee.
Sorry, LeeAnn. I'm not sure how I missed this one. I like, and totally concur with, Smoky's comments. Another winner of a poem. Just like you, LeeAnn.
Today's Poet Of Day, featured on PoemHunter is Dr Fabrizio Frosini, our own Doctor Fab. Congratulations to him and all my fellow poets on PoemHunter. Appreciate
I enjoyed this beautiful slice of life poem, LeeAnn. Wonderful writing.
Niddle aged - a new phase in life but also a reminder of things that we can no longer do. Still it can be an exciting time
I really like this. There's a metaphoric mixture here, the cake/diet coke image. Youth has passed into middle age, waking into drifting off to sleep. Wants to needs. Superb.
Part 2. And the young generation fails to understand. Life offers much lesser everyday… and demands more…
The woes of getting old are innumerable. We need to put up with a lot and those in our family too. With age comes all diseases like diabetes, hypertension and then insomnia, what not..
Marvelous piece....thank u...LeeAnn....
