No Traces
The rapture I am in when I look in yr eyes
Consume my soul
I cannot dream of them anymore
For the pain is too much to bear
Since you left, I wander through
The places we once go
Trying to find you
But I find no traces of you
And the memories haunt my sadness
As it carries in my mind
And I walk with my solitary heart
Looking eternally for yr eyes to save me
No traces of them but in heaven
The heartbreak of family loss is enormous displayed in your wonderful tribute poem.
Memories, memories! As parting is painful, loss of a kin… the wound does not heal easily. But life moves on, always looking for ‘traces'. Haunting! Beautifully expressed, LeeAnn. Top score
