No Traces Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

No Traces

Rating: 5.0

The rapture I am in when I look in yr eyes
Consume my soul
I cannot dream of them anymore
For the pain is too much to bear
Since you left, I wander through
The places we once go
Trying to find you
But I find no traces of you
And the memories haunt my sadness
As it carries in my mind
And I walk with my solitary heart
Looking eternally for yr eyes to save me
No traces of them but in heaven

Sylvia Plath would be proud, LeeAnn!

Memories, memories! As parting is painful, loss of a kin… the wound does not heal easily. But life moves on, always looking for ‘traces'. Haunting! Beautifully expressed, LeeAnn. Top score

Looking eternally for your eyes to save me.....what a powerful expression. To love and to lose is a situation most of the people can relate to. Well penned, !
