ON FAIR AND FOUL
Fair and Foul parade in guise so compatible
Rivaling combatants, so readily transposable
That which seems fair, to another may be foul
Who then will decide what is fair and what’s foul?
There sure sits a judge within, who in all truth will swear
To each of those ever intent to hear
But alas! He speaks in fitful rising and falling
With ambiguity instantly crawling
So shut your ears to every other sound
Lest his words drown in the cacophony around
Very well said...No one can decide fair or foul plays.....forget and move on....Beautiful poem with great message.
Fair to foul may have the same relationship as good to bad. Ultimately as the poem says, judgment is relative, not absolute. Don't take it to court, let conscience decide. Beautiful thought provoking poem. Thank you.
Truthful analysis about fair and foul plays, let the conscience decide what is good or bad! Thanks for sharing.
as so rightly said, it requires extreme spiritual strength to listen and be guided by it.
fair to foul, good to bad. discern to which one must live good write
Wonderful wise words with regard to Fair and Foul! ONE HAS TO HAVE THE DISCERNMENT!
A true poetry as Valsa always tries to put the truth and what we supposed to do on this earth beyond the religion Its the wisdom of a man who decides what to do but our wisdom is the slave of flattery it dissolves we must act as per the intuition that wisdom opens for us and we must avoid foul and always we must try for the fair...a universal call
'Fair' and 'Foul' are decided by time and human acts at times boomerang though well intended at times. Similarly our scriptures and fables tell about good people and bad people as two separably identifiable species among us all. But that has not been so with life for long. The good appear to be with demons within them and those who are otherwise treated as demons are good too otherwise. Your inner strength to discern all the way is important here. A contemplative notion has been thrown to us by you Madam Valsa..
Absolutely the judge who sits within and informs all what is fair and what is foul but the problem is that everyone doesn't listen and follow the commands. A true sense of philosophy is well expressed.

I am sure, the reader might try shutting his all external vents to keep himself concentrate to fathom the depth of intellectual instinct owing to your caring reprimand to chase the inner self. Gosh!
