Our House-Maid's Daughter
OUR HOUSE MAID'S DAUGHTER
I looked one more time at the scar
on her pretty forehead.
Our house-maid's sweet little daughter.
She is just four years old.
Endured many scares and black scars
along with mother, so bold
facing tantrums of sot-father.
She is just four years old.
Today came she with news to share.
With puerile fervor told
"Becomes bride my father's sister! "
She is just four years old.
"He is as strong as a wild boar
good groom; not a drunkard."
Shocked; saw those deeper inner scars.
She is just four years old.
Its a difficult life for all those women and children....whose men are drunkards! These children at their tender age endure such harshness that their innocence gets killed! ! ! ! ! ! I truly appreciate ur work!
thanks for sharing this poem. life is so difficult for so many people. wish there was something we could do to take away this pain.
Anything involving a child is criminal. Should be regarded as such. All children have a right to be free of bondage. No matter what kind. I hate even reading of such as this. GW62

sad story, , , it squeeze my heart....make me frown.... deprived of her happy childhood.....so touching...reality hurts.... very wisely described and wonderfully written....
