Sailing Away Poem by Cowboy Ron Williams

Sailing Away

Rating: 4.9

I'm going on a cruise.
Perhaps that is great news
to your most tender ear.
Now you won't have to hear
from me for quite a while.
Do I detect a smile?
I'm going far away,
but I'll be back some day.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
It's actually a series of cruises. Why not? I have lots of money and need to spend some of it before I kick the bucket. I'm not getting any younger...

Enjoy the ride.I've never been on a ship. I always figured it'd be like that bull I once rode, when everyone there yelled: Man overboard!
