Shakespearean Sonnet For Mother Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Shakespearean Sonnet For Mother

Rating: 5.0

O' wipe thy tears from mine eyes
And set a candle in her honour
As the flame is lit
Thy will comfort me through the night
We'll toast her life with the finest wine
However, never do anything but mourn
Her spirit will surround us in ways we can imagine
And fill us with content
Nay, I did love her
Though, she was sometimes cruel
However, she was afraid what was out there
Thy was a bit too friendly
We'll follow her soon without our hand

Excellent poem, but to write a Sonnet, needs 14 lines, it be 8 and 6 lines or thrice 4 lines and last 2 lines in the end, each line consists of 8-10 syllables, but you wrote an amazing poem, dear LeeAnn.
