JOSE MURGUIA

Shooting Star...(I Wish)

I WISH I COULD BRING YOU BACK AND PRESS REWIND,
I WISH I COULD HAVE CHANGED GOD'S MIND,
I WISH I COULD TELL YOU HOW MUCH WE NEED YOU,
I WISH EVERY NIGHT IN MY DREAMS I CAN SEE YOU,
I WISH THIS PAIN DIDN'T FEEL SO DEEP,
I WISH U COULD HAVE AWAKEN FROM THAT FOREVER SLEEP,
I WISH THE TEARS COULD STOP AND NOT FALL,
I WISH HEAVEN HAD A NUMBER SO I CAN GIVE YOU A CALL,
I WISH GOD KNEW HE LEFT US SO SAD,
I WISH YOU KNEW YOU WERE THE GREATEST DAD,
I WISH YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO GROW OLD AND TIRED,
I WISH YOUR LIFE DIDN'T HAVE A DATE TO EXPIRE,
I WISH I COULD HAVE FIXED YOUR BROKEN HEART,
I WISH WE DIDN'T HAVE TO BE THIS FAR APART,
I WISH HEAVEN WASNT THIS FAR,
I WISH I CAN SEE YOU AGAIN
I WISH THIS ON A SHOOTING STAR............

    I CAN FEEL YOUR MISERY.
BUT TRULY LIFE IS A MYSTERY.
HE'S WATCHING YOU FROM THE SKY.
HE WANT YOU TO BE HAPPY DON'T CRY.
    HE'S NOW YOUR GUARDIAN ANGEL.
    KEEPING FROM HARM'S HANDS &DANGER.
VERY TOUCHING POEM AND I AM SORRY FOR YOUR DAD.

now don't get upset with me. I am a very critical writer. This poem to me lacked how you truly felt. it was a little too simple. when you write poetry try to put a few similes to help us better understand your longing and loss. it was a little too straight to the point and lacked an artistic flow in my mind.

just trying to give you some creative criticism.

Hi Jose this is a very fine poem, that alot of people can relate to, I think you captured all the emotions of your grief and communicated them to the reader very well, and I think your father would be proud of your tribute to him,10.

Jose... Very Tender and Compelling Poem... Anyone should relate to this, cause who hasn't lost someone in death... My Own Sister, passed away years ago.. and I still and will miss her... but, believe me... God Has A Gift For Those Who Believe In Him... It's Called The Ressurection... And Then You Can Tell Your Father and I Can Tell my Sister... all the wonderful things We didn't get a chance to say... This Poem was so Touching... MoonBee
