.
Snow sifting silently down
...floating down from the heavy heavens above
...floating down through the bare boughs
and hushing the forest all about.
.
Moonlight filtering softly down
...softly etching the trunks of the tall trees
...softly tracing the pine needles with silver
and hushing the forest all about.
.
Snow and moonlight falling softly together from heaven above
...falling softly on the closed eyelids
...falling softly on the pale cheeks
of the body face-up and splayed out in the snow.
.
The night breeze rose and the moonlight flickered
...and together moaned through the tall trees of the forest
...while the snow softly and silently fell
and covered the body and the retreating footfalls.

Lovely poem. Snow soft and silent uplifts my spirit more than anything. I could close my eyes and think of the last snow through your poem.
Snow and moonlight falling softly softly from heaven... what a wonderful scene that the captures through her powerful poetic eyes! Such a beautiful poem with a lovely title. I find illustrious poetic beauty in this magnificent composition.
An elixir of emotions and images brilliantly mixed to create a tranquil hushed snowfall beneath a silvery moon. The human element of observation enhanced beneath the snow.
Brings me back to beautiful winter nights sledding and making snow angels in the yard! .. Beautiful sentiments in this ever so beautiful poem! ..
Beautifully enchanting! .. Beautiful feel! .. Beautifully painted! .. Yes Definite 5 Stars! ...
