Still There Poem by Nosheen Irfan

Still There

Rating: 5.0

Love is still there
In the closed drawers
With rusty knobs
In those dust-brown letters
With fading stamps, extinct addresses
Bearing Salutation
Dear........... with a love-dripping
Flourish of the hand
Love is just hiding
Beneath layers upon layers
Like diamonds inside the earth
Like old wine in the cellar
Never getting old
Despite the maturity
Static, slumbering
Till it gets the message
It can become itself again.

Deepest spiritual; insight into, Love. Beautifully written and very far reaching, touching the mysterious hidden strings of true Love,

I believe that what has been known as eternal can be known as eternal again. Forever can never be reduced to transience.

There was a time when love breathed an atmosphere of eternity. All past moments are still in the realm of once-having- been. That fact will forever stand.

So beautiful a poem suffused with love! True love will never vanish; it must be hiding in some corner of a heart.
