The Argument Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

The Argument

Rating: 5.0

Let's laugh about the argument
That nearly broke us up
I'll make you a cup of tea; me, hot chocolate
And curl up in bed and watch Netflix
But I am tired tonight
And I guess you are too
Give me a kiss and wrap yr arms
Around me like a southwest wind
Holding me until the edge of night comes
And in the morning, we'll forget about this night

So lighthearted and charmingly romantic. Making up is the best part.

A lovely depiction of a bond that goes through the ups and downs and emerges stronger. But I guess there's a touch of poignancy in the end. I hope forgetting is only for the moments of arguments. Moments of love should not be forgotten. Beautifully penned.

Making up can be so wonderful! What Netflix film did you see the next night? In total agreement with Sandra on this one, my friend!
