Smoke swallows the sky
Blazing fire move stealthily
Through rows of houses
Taking precious possessions
The greatest thieves of mankind.

Absolutely spot on Rose Marie! ! I know of a old couple who years ago had their house burnt down. An electrical fault, thankfully no-one was hurt and they were insured but lost some priceless photo's of yesteryear. So fire is a great thief and is heartless and merciless. 10++ and added to my poems that touch a nerve favs. Thanks again and take care.
Fire! Fire! ! Destroying everything. Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
Blazing fire is definitely the greatest thief as it engulfs all properties, but when man came to know the use of fire, civilisations developed along with better processing of food and and industry. Both extremes are there Mam Rose..But the way of presentation in your finger tip is superb.
It goes to show that the saying: “better to be robbed than to be burned“ is very true..... Excellent poem, dear ate Rose....10++❤️❤️❤️
Succinct and heart-rendering- -that is a delicate balance to achieve and you've done so co, passionately. 10++++++++++++++++++
You have much eloquently pictured the danger the wild fires give out. Fire is a universal consumer. Nice imagery 10+

The tongues of fire can eat away everything in no time.....! Without water and fire, we cannot live. But they are the great destroyers too! In a wildfire, how much of our possessions are turned into ash and how much of life is charred down. A wild fire in a populated area results in the destruction of so much of material wealth and precious lives. Well composed!
