The Kiss That Lasted! Poem by Aarzoo Mehek

The Kiss That Lasted!

Rating: 5.0

The kiss that lasted
Ended up being
The sweet poison
Running through
My veins
Finishing me
Bit by bit
Taking me
To the grave.

Love can turn out to be a potion of life in most of the cases but it can turn out to be the poison of betrayal in some of the cases. It is unfortunate but this happens due to no fault on the part of one at the receiving end. Thanks, Aarzoo ji, for this solemn piece of writing which carries the content with feel.
