The Last Time I Saw You... Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

The Last Time I Saw You...

Rating: 5.0

The last time I saw you,
You were lying in a coffin
As I bended over to kiss you for the last time
Yr cold, white skin nearly froze my lips
But the peace I felt was unusual
Like you were still around
Guiding me in the right direction
As though, I was a little bird
That G-d hasn't forgotten
The peace always will be you
Surrounding me with every breath

Not exaggerating, I can generalize your endearing expression-But the peace I felt was unusual Like you were still around Guiding me in the right direction. A poem worthy of multiple visits.

This brilliant poem touched my heart very much, I reread this again, like my own family this theme is about. A brilliant poem full of melancholy. Very touching!
