Tomfoolery - Poem by Jessica Lockhart

I wish that I was funny
I've tried it once before
I made the little ones cry
Someone slammed a door

I on occasion make pun
But not without rolling eyes
For behind every good joke
Are unimpressed sighs

Once I made people laugh
But only because of this
I fell down the stairs and found
On my pants I had took a piss

So maybe I'm not the funniest gal
But that doesn't mean I won't try
One day I'll show my true humor
And hopefully you will not die

Very amusing. A fun read but also with a serious side. Loved it (Report) Reply
