Vedic Prayer 1 - A Peace Chant From Atharva Veda

Rating: 4.3

O Supreme Power! The Absolute Reality!
Through our ears, may we hear only the sweet and divine sounds!
Through our eyes, may we see only the lovely and the auspicious!
Through our limbs, the hands and legs, may we perform only the righteous deeds!
As we sing Thy praises, may we be blessed with a long and healthy life!
May there be - peace - peace - peace

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
During this Quarantine period, there is nothing better than a prayer for the whole world. These are Peace chants from the Vedas.
The best part about these' Peace chants' are that they are universal. It is not for a particular religion, cast, creed, sect, colour, language or country. It is for all human beings alike.
I have taken the liberty to translate the original Sanskrit verses into English. I, most humbly declare, that a translation can never do full justice to the original Sanskrit verse. Sanskrit has its own divine beauty and grace.
