Wayside Poem by Ahmad Shiddiqi

Wayside

(dedicated to Adeiza Atureta)

You are now on a roll
You are also connecting
With seemingly few thoughts

Left lying by the wayside
Jaws dropp as you power into top gear
Just don’t start spending what you don’t have

(inspired by Kitaro’s Tien Shan)

A good advice for those who spent out of their means!

I like the first part, but find the last sentence confusing because it is a double negative and they always confuse me. This is not necessary bad because poetry is meant to get us to think. 'Just don’t start spending what you don’t have'. I guess you mean don't waste your time.
