Wealth Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Wealth

Rating: 5.0

I still have yr heartfelt trinkets
They have grown into memories
When you left, people told me
To get rid of them
But I just couldn't for they are
All I have of you
A lock of yr hair, and old tie
These things are my treasure
That keeps me thinking
You're still alive in my heart
They won't yellow or rip
They will never be destroyed
As my broken heart will mend
With my wealth next to me.

Love and loss....a theme so beautifully illustrated here. Souvenirs of love are precious. Love might fade but memories don't. Bravo!
