Were You There? Poem by Heather Burns

Were You There?

Rating: 5.0

Footsteps walking
in my garden
in the rustling of
the leaves

Soft reflections
loosely woven
something blowing
in the breeze.

Vivid whispers in
the evening
shadows stealing
from the day

Was it my imagination
or your presence on
display?

A great poem, I think loved ones will always be there watching over us.

When our mind is lost in the memories of someone dear, we feel that he/ she is standing before us.... something of an optical illusion! A beautiful poem, Heather! Enjoyed its simple beauty!
