Where Are You?(The Departed) Poem by Practicing Poetess

Where Are You?(The Departed)

Rating: 5.0

Barry Middleton
Beloved of many
Who patiently mentored the newbies.
Terry Collett
Writer of 'Story Poems'
Who kept us on the edge of our seats.
Londis Carpenter
Who wrote with wisdom
Of love and life - -
All so quiet now.
Have all of you
Crossed over into eternity?
Because we no longer see
New poems from you appearing.
What a loss to all the newcomers here.
Please, take the time to read
Barry, Terry, and Londis,
True artists whose works
Speak for themselves,
And will continue to speak.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
When old, favourite poet friends disappear from the site and haven't beenin awhile, it does cause concern... We miss them, as there will be no new, fresh writings forthcoming.

Too add another one, is Eric Cockerell, he hasn't posted anything in years and he was without a doubt one of my top poets on this website, his work has always been inspiring and in many ways I owe him a lot. I've even gone as far to try and track him online, but with little luck. He was a mentor without knowing it. Wherever you are Eric I wish you peace.

Barry had written that he had a terminal stage of cancer, that was a little over two years ago, I would like to think he is recovering. I can live with a small cup of hope. Thank you for this poem, it means more then you know.
