we are illiterate
we are the blind ones
we can not watch the essence of the
mighty power of our own mother
though we are fed by her.
it is you who come to us
with your boat to take us
to the land on the other side
of her heart.
it is you who come with the key
for the locker of the golds
banked at her heart.
we are the blind and illiterate
and poor Lodhas, Sabars, dalits,
Nakshals, common men of no name,
and we are her sons and daughters...
you are the director who, on her works,
have made cinemas like-snnghursh,
Behula, Rudali, hazaar Churasi Ki Ma,
Maati Maay and Gangor.
oh the directors come and draw more
give our eyes the power to read her.
The key to the locker! ! The truth is the key. Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
A beautiful, careful, deep, emotional, faithful, genuine, hortatory, important and innocent song of tribute to the Mother of Commons.Your personal experience, deep knowledge, imagination and deep respect to her can create such an emotional song. May God rest her soul in peace!
Well expressed tribute to the realistic writer of all time Ramon Magsaysay. May her soul rest in peace.10

Thank you for adding your notes about the poem. The information that this was a tribute to a writer who died recently grounded me. Yet I didn't need to know that in the sense that I felt the pulse of this extremely well done poem before I knew its providence. There is power in these verses- -this is worthy of tribute 10
