A New Day
I bid adieu
to a long hard night,
at last,
to see a new day.
I could sense the glimmer of hope
in the awakening of sun,
rising with him
the spirit of my heart,
to fight another day.

Always this has been a theme of sincere poets. How it is a perfect simile of hope and faith. Well done. Do not shy away from happy and hopeful themes even in the midst of horror and despair. there is always hope as long as mankind has a glimmer of humanity left. Regards, Susan
